Home lift specialists

Quiet, compact installations for houses that were never built around a lift.

Roughly half the home elevators we install go into finished villas and independent houses, which means finding a shaft in an existing stairwell or courtyard before a single fitting is ordered. We have carried that survey-first discipline across Delhi NCR’s residential belt, choosing between hydraulic, pneumatic, traction and screw-drive units based on the pit, headroom and power the house can actually give up. For families adding a lift after the fact, often for accessibility reasons that cannot wait, that judgement is worth more than the catalogue price.

Putting a lift into a house that was built without one.

Roughly half the home lifts we install go into finished houses. The order below is what keeps that from turning into demolition.

Find the shaft before choosing the lift

A stairwell void, a light well, an external courtyard wall or a stacked-cupboard line. The available footprint decides the product, not the other way round.

Check what is under the lowest floor

Pit depth is the usual blocker. If excavation is not possible, a pitless or shallow-pit unit is the answer.

Confirm headroom at the top landing

Home lifts need far less headroom than commercial ones, but a sloping roof or a beam over the top landing still has to be measured, not assumed.

Decide where the power unit lives

A hydraulic power unit needs a small ventilated cupboard, up to a few metres from the shaft. A utility room or under-stair space usually works.

Fix the door side at every level

Door side per floor is the decision people most often want to change late, and the one that is hardest to change once the structure is up.

Choose the car finish last

Glass, timber, steel or painted panels are all interchangeable at this stage and none of them affect the structure.

  • Villas and independent houses. Two to four floors, often retrofitted into a stairwell void after the house is complete.
  • Duplex and triplex apartments. Internal lifts between private levels inside a single unit.
  • Farmhouses and weekend homes. Where the lift may sit unused for weeks, so standby behaviour and corrosion protection matter.
  • Accessibility retrofits. Installed because a family member can no longer manage stairs — usually the most time-sensitive projects we take.
  • Small buildings with a lift-sized void. Where a full passenger lift is oversized for the traffic.

Common questions

Before you ask for a quotation

How much does a home elevator cost in India?

Home elevator price is set by drive technology, number of floors and stops, car capacity, finish and how much civil work the shaft needs — roughly in that order. A two-floor house with a straightforward hydraulic unit lands well below a four-floor house needing a pitless or MRL drive with a custom finish. Floor count alone is not the driver; travel height and stops are. We quote after seeing the shaft, so the figure is not a guess that moves later.

What is the smallest shaft a home lift needs?

Around 900 × 1000 mm for a two-person car, and roughly 1100 × 1300 mm for a comfortable three to four person car with an automatic door. Below that a platform lift is usually the more honest recommendation.

Do I need a pit dug under the floor?

Standard units need 150–600 mm. Pitless and shallow-pit models need as little as 50 mm, which normally avoids excavation entirely in a finished house.

Will it work during a power cut?

Yes, with a battery lowering device. On a hydraulic lift the car descends under its own weight to the nearest landing and opens the doors — no generator needed.

How much disruption does installation cause?

For a prepared shaft, roughly one to two weeks on site. The disruptive part is civil work, so if the shaft is built before we arrive, the lift itself goes in quietly.

What does a home lift cost to run?

Very little. Home lifts draw power only while going up, and a typical household makes fewer than twenty trips a day.
